Honda Pilot 2016 - SUV

The all-new 2016 Honda Pilot made its North American debut on February 12 at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
But the current version, which dates back to 2008, was a boxy truck that looked dated in a world of crossovers that had moved toward sleek. Its sales for 2014 were 108,857, down 14% from 2013, while the industry overall was up 6% in the same period.

To compete with the growing number of nameplates crowding the segment, the 2016 Pilot reinvents itself as a modern, three-row family vehicle that is classy-looking enough to take out on the town and is equipped with a more sophisticated new engine, transmission and amenities.

Launching this summer, the all-new 2016 Pilot sets a new standard for premium family SUVs with a new powertrain and advanced technology in a sleek, muscular package. Increased cargo capacity and interior room are complemented by deluxe touches like a premium interior and LED projector headlights. The 2016 Honda Pilot features an available new Earth Dreams Technology™ 3.5-liter, direct-injection i-VTEC® V-6 engine that is both powerful and efficient. The Pilot also boasts our most comprehensive set of advanced safety features ever including the available Honda Sensing™ suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies.

The 2016 Pilot will join the CR-V—the 2014 Motor Trend SUV of the Year®—and the dynamic new HR-V Crossover to redefine the SUV market in North America.
