We were anticipating that Ford would bring several tuned examples of its new Focus ST hot hatch to the upcoming SEMA Show and now, the Blue Oval has released teasers and initial information on its offerings.
Joining the four 2013 Fusion concepts at the automaker's Las Vegas booth will be a total of five modified Focus ST project cars.
For the second Focus ST, the M&J team formed a partnership between Ford, Cosworth LLC and Ford Racing to boost the car's 2.0-liter turbocharged engine by more than 30 percent to 330-horses, and torque by almost 20 percent. Other modifications made to the hatch include the vented hood, carbon fiber accents, Cosworth wheels, a larger rear wing and an upgraded suspension.
Steeda also took a shot at the Focus ST promising increased performance, improved handling and more aggressive looks. The company tells us that among other modifications made to the car, are a Steeda G-Trac suspension, Brembo brakes and a 19-inch custom wheel and tire package.
Top Gear USA television host and X-Games Gold medalist Tanner Foust was involved in the creation of a racier Focus ST featuring a custom body kit, different rims and tires, and engine and chassis modifications including a fully adjustable front and rear suspension.
