McLaren's racecar manufacturing arm McLaren GT has prepared a wild racing concept for debut at this week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The 12C Can-Am concept is a track-focused racer based on the 12C GT3 with a fully-aerodynamic body kit and plenty of weight saving carbon fiber.Finished in McLaren's famous orange, the 12C Can-Am concept boasts a new front splitter, rear wing and integrated rear diffuser all made out of carbon fiber.
Weighing in at just under 2,650lbs, the racer features an ECU revamp along with a new cooling system which allows the its 3.8-liter biturbo V8 to crank out a solid 630 horsepower.Further race-spec upgrades come in the form of blacked-out lightweight forged alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance Pirelli racing slicks, roll cage, removable steering wheel sourced from Lewis Hamilton's MP4-24 F1 race car.The special seats have six-point harnesses and the interior also features racing series-required air-conditioning and track essential upgraded brakes.
