BMW 3 series Sports Wagon 2013

Everyone’s favorite wagon is the latest 3-Series to get a redesign, and its coming to the US

BMW has revealed the first images and details on the next-gen BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon, announcing that it will be offered in the US. Naturally the new long-roof 3er will first go on sale in Europe, where customers will get to choose from a 328i, 330d and 320d Touring when it hits showrooms later this year.Powertrain details for the US market have yet to be announced, but when it arrives in spring 2013, expect a 328i with a 240hp 2.0-liter four and a 300hp 335i with the 3.0-liter turbo six.

There's every chance a 3.0-liter straight-six turbo-diesel in the form of a 250hp 330d will also be on the table. As with the new 3-Series sedan, a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic are offered on the gasoline-powered models

The BMW 3-Series Sports Wagon also mimic's the sedan's dimensions and is larger than the current model, boasting 10 percent more cargo volume making it the most spacious wagon in its class, according to BMW.The rear seats have a 40:20:40 split, and there's plenty of room as well as hidden storage and a standard partition net.

The wagon will be available in Sport, Luxury, Modern and M Sport Line trim, each offering something different, and will come with a host of comfort, assistance, and telematics options. A hands-free power tailgate activated by waving one's foot under the bumper comes with the optional Comfort Access package, while tech and driver aids include BMW Apps, Lane Departure Warning, BMW Parking Assist, and Rear-view Camera with Top View.
