2013 Porsche 911 Performance Upgrades

The 2013 Porsche 911 991-series debuted last year to much acclaim and the German automaker released today some sweet performance upgrades for the new generation model. In addition to the performance upgrades, the Carrera S and Carrera S Cabriolet both feature more power for 2013 along with an aerokit sure to look good on the track and on the streets.Starting with the Carrera S, the Porsche Exclusive personalization crew has created a powerkit.

The kit boosts the sporty model's 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine an impressive 30hp to a total 430hp.With the PDK dual-clutch transmission, the Carrera S takes off from rest to 60mph in 3.9 seconds (an improvement of 0.2 seconds) and increases top speed to 191mph (up from 188mph).To gain these improvements, Porsche has tweaked the engines ECU and added a new intake system with six air flaps and an additional resonance flap. A sports exhaust and Sport Chrono package finishes up the German's additions to the mighty sports car.

The 2013 Porsche 911 performance upgrades don't have a price tag at the moment, however when they launch in the fall Porsche should release more details.
